How Does Rubber Extrusion Work?

• The extrusion process begins when rubbers are being fed into an extruder. The material is hopped with a hopper in and fed into various channels in a rotating screw. The screw takes the rubber further into a die where it meets an increase in pressure and temperature. 
• Once the material is shaped by the die, the pressure forced on the material through openings, thus the material swells with various degrees of temperature based on its material and hardness. After vulcanization, the rubber gets reduced in dimensions first in the center than at the ends.
